  • Playwright Bernard Pomerance - best known for writing the 1979 Best Play Tony winner "The Elephant Man" - passed away at age 76; the cause was cancer 
  • The Times Square Theatre on 42nd Street, one of the last-remaining historic theatres yet to be returned to legitimacy, will remain vacant following another collapsed real estate deal
  • Bruce Springsteen has extended the limited run of his Broadway concert through February 2nd; additional tickets go on sale this Thursday (September 7th) at 10am ET exclusively through Ticketmaster Verified Fan
